Address & Contact Info Practice

Why is address text tricky?

An address blends a street name, an apartment or floor number, a ZIP code, and a phone number, all connected with colons, commas, and parentheses. You’ll run into this kind of text constantly when filling out forms or placing an order.

  • Make it a reflex to leave a space after a colon before typing the number that follows.
  • Open the area-code parenthesis quickly with Shift, type the digits, then close it in one smooth motion.

How should you practice?

  • Aim to move straight from an abbreviation like “Apt.” into the number that follows, without pausing.
  • Treat the dash and parenthesis transitions in a phone number as a single motion.
  • Type sequences of digits, like a ZIP code, as one continuous chunk rather than digit by digit.
