Appointment & Calendar Practice
Why is calendar text its own challenge?
Day and month names are capitalized in English, and they’re constantly woven together with times, durations, and dates. You’ll run into this exact pattern in appointments, meeting invites, and event listings.
- Move straight past the comma that follows a day or month name without pausing.
- Keep flowing right after the colon in a time expression (10:15) into the next character.
How should you practice?
- Try not to break your rhythm moving from a capitalized proper noun into a numeric expression.
- Treat time phrases like “10 minutes early” or “3 months later” as a single chunk.
- Practice typing “AM” and “PM” right after a time without slowing down.
