Terms of Use
Acceptance
By using TypeWPM you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
The service
TypeWPM is provided free of charge and “as is”. We may change, pause or remove any feature — including the leaderboard, races, challenges and accounts — at any time.
Accounts
Accounts are optional. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure and for what happens under your account. Choose a username that does not impersonate anyone and is not offensive, hateful or misleading. We may change or remove usernames and delete accounts that break these terms. You can delete your account at any time on the account page.
Acceptable use
Do not submit scores produced by bots, scripts or macros, or by tampering with the site or its database. Do not spam or overload the service, use offensive or hateful nicknames, put personal data in a nickname, or try to reach other people's data. We may remove entries and block abuse without notice.
Leaderboard and content you submit
Nicknames, usernames, scores and public profile details you submit are shown publicly. By submitting them you allow us to display them on TypeWPM. Do not submit anything you do not have the right to share.
Our content
The TypeWPM software, design, lessons, articles and word lists are protected by copyright. You may use the site for personal and educational purposes and share links and result images. Please do not copy or resell the content in bulk.
Embedding
You may embed the typing test with the widget on the embed page, provided you keep the “Powered by TypeWPM” link and do not alter the widget.
Disclaimer and liability
The site, speed measurements, badges and certificates are offered for practice and entertainment and are not guaranteed to be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free. A certificate is the result of an unsupervised test you took yourself; it is not an official qualification. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the site.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version; the date at the top shows the latest one.
