How to play Typing Zombies

1. Press Start. Zombies walk in from the right in waves, each with a word above its head.
2. Type a zombie's word. The letters lock onto the closest zombie whose word matches — every correct letter fires a shot, the last one takes it down.
3. Stop them before they reach the tower. Each one that gets through costs health. Clear a wave for a bonus; every fifth wave ends with a boss and a long word.

Tips to hold the tower

• Start with the zombies closest to the tower — they are the ones about to bite.
• A boss walks slowly but its word is long and it takes two health points. Save your combo for it: bosses score triple.
• Between waves you get a short breather. Use it to relax your hands and keep your breathing steady.

Is Typing Zombies free?

Yes, it is free, needs no sign-up and works in the browser on any device with a keyboard or a phone keyboard.

How is the score calculated?

Each zombie scores its word length × 10 × the wave number × your combo multiplier. Clearing a wave adds a bonus, and boss zombies are worth triple.

Can I play in my own language?

Yes. Choose any of the 20 word languages above the game; the difficulty buttons change the zombies' speed and how fast they arrive.
