This Spanish typing test works exactly like the main typing speed test, but the word pool is Spanish: common verbs, nouns, connectors and everyday vocabulary, all drawn at random so no two runs are the same. Your score is reported in WPM (words per minute) and accuracy, calculated the same way across every language so results stay comparable.

Spanish adds a few characters English keyboards don't — á, é, í, ó, ú, ü and ñ. Practising with them in context is the fastest way to stop reaching for them. Pick a time mode from 15 to 120 seconds, or switch to word mode for a fixed 10 to 100 words, and start typing — there's no account and no ads.

Spanish typing test — frequently asked questions

How is the Spanish typing test scored?

It counts every correct character you type, divides by five for an average word length, then divides by the minutes elapsed to give your WPM. Accuracy is correct keystrokes over total keystrokes. The formula is identical for every language, so your Spanish score and your English score mean the same thing.

Do I need a Spanish keyboard layout?

No. You can type on any layout. If your keyboard can't produce á, é, í, ó, ú, ü or ñ directly, the test still runs — those characters just come up less often in the pool. A Spanish or US-International layout makes the accented letters easier to reach.

What is a good typing speed in Spanish?

About 40 WPM is average for an adult typing in their own language. 60–70 WPM is fast and 90+ WPM is professional level. Spanish words are slightly longer on average than English ones, so raw WPM often lands a little lower for the same effort.

Is the Spanish typing test free?

Yes, completely. No account, no email, no ads. Your best score is saved in your own browser, and nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose to submit to the leaderboard.
