Polish Typing Test
Measure how fast you type in Polish. The test draws from a curated pool of everyday Polish vocabulary, so you practise the words you actually use.
This Polish typing test works exactly like the main typing speed test, but the word pool is Polish: common verbs, nouns, connectors and everyday vocabulary, all drawn at random so no two runs are the same. Your score is reported in WPM (words per minute) and accuracy, calculated the same way across every language so results stay comparable.
Polish adds nine letters English keyboards don't have — ą, ć, ę, ł, ń, ó, ś, ź and ż. On a Polish programmer keyboard you reach them with Right Alt plus the base letter, and practising them in real words is the fastest way to make that movement automatic. Pick a time mode from 15 seconds to 10 minutes, or switch to word mode, and start typing — there's no account and no ads.
Polish typing test — frequently asked questions
How is the Polish typing test scored?
It counts every correct character you type, divides by five for an average word length, then divides by the minutes elapsed to give your WPM. Accuracy is correct keystrokes over total keystrokes. The formula is identical for every language, so your Polish score and your English score mean the same thing.
Do I need a Polish keyboard layout?
No, but it helps. The standard Polish layout (Polish programmer) is QWERTY with Right Alt for ą, ć, ę, ł, ń, ó, ś, ź and ż. You can also take the test on a US layout; the test still runs, but you'll need your system's input method to produce the Polish letters.
What is a good typing speed in Polish?
About 40 WPM is average for an adult typing in their own language. 60–70 WPM is fast and 90+ WPM is professional level. Polish words are a little longer than English ones on average, so raw WPM can land slightly lower for the same effort.
Is the Polish typing test free?
Yes, completely. No account, no email, no ads. Your best score is saved in your own browser, and nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose to submit to the leaderboard.
