Indonesian Typing Test
Measure how fast you type in Bahasa Indonesia. The test draws from a curated pool of everyday Indonesian vocabulary, so you practise the words you actually use.
This Indonesian typing test works exactly like the main typing speed test, but the word pool is Bahasa Indonesia: common verbs, nouns, connectors and everyday vocabulary, all drawn at random so no two runs are the same. Your score is reported in WPM (words per minute) and accuracy, calculated the same way across every language so results stay comparable.
Indonesian is written with the plain Latin alphabet, so there are no accents or special keys to learn — it is a good language for focusing on rhythm and accuracy. Many words are long thanks to prefixes and suffixes like me-, ber-, -kan and -an, which makes steady, unbroken typing more important than bursts of speed. Pick a time mode from 15 seconds to 10 minutes, or switch to word mode, and start typing — there's no account and no ads.
Indonesian typing test — frequently asked questions
How is the Indonesian typing test scored?
It counts every correct character you type, divides by five for an average word length, then divides by the minutes elapsed to give your WPM. Accuracy is correct keystrokes over total keystrokes. The formula is identical for every language, so your Indonesian score and your English score mean the same thing.
Do I need an Indonesian keyboard layout?
No. Indonesian uses the standard QWERTY layout and the plain Latin alphabet, so any normal keyboard works and there are no special characters in the word pool.
What is a good typing speed in Indonesian?
About 40 WPM is average for an adult typing in their own language. 60–70 WPM is fast and 90+ WPM is professional level. Indonesian words are fairly long on average, so raw WPM can land a little lower than in English for the same effort.
Is the Indonesian typing test free?
Yes, completely. No account, no email, no ads. Your best score is saved in your own browser, and nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose to submit to the leaderboard.
